Are you getting married, this year?

If so, you probably have tons of planning, budgeting and tasting to do in the months ahead… Getting married is one of the most exhilarating and exhausting years of your life as every bride wants everything to be PERFECT!

They say the bride never eats the meal she spent so many hours worrying about, but what about the cake?  Does the bride get to have her wedding and eat cake too?

Getting married in Portugal, while living in Canada, meant that I traded off certain details in order to have a wedding set in the beautifully historic and fairytale town of Sintra…. So, my cake was ULTRA traditional (kinda boring looking, too), but it was delicious…! I think it was just about the only thing I ate, that day 😛

Had I had a wedding closer to home, I might have chosen one  of the cool choices trending this year.  And if your wedding is planned for June, why not commemorate the national month of doughnuts by requesting a wedding doughnut cake !
